Sour Green Apple

Finally, I was able to catch this feather effect nail polish of Barry M. Sour Apple is one of total five nail polishes from the Confetti collection. They are a transparant base packed with different combinations of bar glitters. Sour Apple is filled with light blue and pastel yellow bar glitters.
As base colour, I picked KIKO #341 Cobalt Green. The moment I turned my camera on, I remembered how troublesome this colour is to capture. So no exception today, Cobalt Green is actually green, but somehow turned blue in the pictures -_-"
Anyway, the swatches shown are done with just one coat.
Have a nice one!

Coffee Break

Let's have a warm and sweet coffee break:
I used Barry M Matt White, PASTEL no. 43 and Barry M Chocolate for the gradient. If I can give a gradient a name, I would call this one a 'Latte Macchiato gradient'. Latte's and coffee specials are my favourites.
As for the green accent nails, I used two coats of p2 Volume Gloss Fresh Sister as base colour. Fresh Sister is mint green and has a super glossy finish. It's funny that the name of this polish has the word 'sister' in it, because this bottle is in fact a gift from my lovely sister.
The coffee cup is painted with Barry M Matt White and Chocolate. The yummy donut is a nail art sticker.

What kind of coffee do you like to drink?

Have a wonderful one!

Bonbon inspired mani

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I did a bonbon inspired mani:
The chocolate nails are swatched with Barry M's Chocolate and the ring finger has three coats of Essence Team Nude. The pink stripes are done with a striping brush and Essie Van D'Go. I added Canmake Nail Topping Coat #04 Mixed Fruit Seeds on the index and ring finger. The little heart on the middle finger is painted with OPI Red Hot Ayers Rock.
As I mentioned above, this mani was inspired by sweet bonbons. They looked like this before I devoured them:
Have a sweet day!

Canmake Sweet Nail Toppings

Canmake introduced the Nail Topping Coat collection, which brings us 5 different topcoats to recreate the ice cream and yummy dessert toppings on the nails!
They have:
01 Powdered Sugar
02 Hawaiian Coconut
03 Dried Strawberry
04 Mixed Berry Seeds
05 Almond Crunch
NOTE: No. 2 to 5 are made from real fruits and nuts!

The pink base is the OPI Pink-ing Of You.
For the melting chocolate sauce, I used Barry M 129 Chocolate and a dotting tool to create the melting-effect.

The whipped cream is made by using Barry M 66 Matt White. On top of each topping, there is layer of Canmake no. 4 Mixed Berry Seeds.

Mixed Berry Seeds has a clear base with beige/caramel/brown particles floating around, which are the berry seeds. The final look was a bit gritty, so there is one layer of topcoat. I usually won't use this pink, as it gives my skin tone a tan look. So I will try other combinations with Mixed Berry Seeds.

Have a great one!

Multi Christmas!!!

Whohoho...There are so many beautiful Xmas mani's out there in blog world! I wanted to give it a try as well:

I used Etude House LUCIDarling's WH001 as base colour for my index and pink finger. As for the middle and ring finger, I layered two coats of OPI Red Hot Ayers Rock and OPI Yoga-ta Got This Blue respectively. For the design on the index finger, OPI's RHAR is used to draw the Xmas sock and the lines are created by Essence Nail Art Pen in Pearl White.

Sorry for the not-so-sharp picture.
I'm glad though, since the designs did not turn out that well =P
The shy Snowman is created with Barry M Matt White (body), OPI Yoga-ta Got This Blue (eyes and bottons) and OPI Red Hot Ayers Rock (scarf). As for the Christmas tree, this one is made by using GR 607 of Etude House Petite Darling HD Nails.

I definitely need more practice on the nail art, but I had much fun making it. What (mani/polish) are you going to wear on Christmas?

Have a wonderful one!!!

Flower-edged French

There this thing about Japanese nail polishes (color, shimmer, glitter, design of the bottle!!!), which I like very much. I came across this brand 'Canmake Tokyo' during my quest =P partly due to the cute design of the bottle (well, about 90%). They have a large variety of nail polish colors with descriptions about the color, since there is no bottle picture of each color. For more information, you can check:

Canmake No. 31
Cinnamon Pearl
This is the color that I want to share with you: [31] Cinnamon Pearl. Canmake gives the following description:

'A pinkish beige nail varnish containing crystal pearl particles. The exquisite pearl particles and glossy sheen will make your nails look more beautiful than unadorned nails and when you use this color once, you won’t want to let it go.'

There is no better way to describe it than what is mentioned above. It is a sheer polish with very sparkling crystal pearl particles. This time I used it as base for my french mani along with Konad M51.

In the mean time, I will discover whether Cinnamon Pearl has the ability as layer polish.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Coated Chocolate

A while ago, I bought L.A. Colors Mega Watt which I wanted to use for French mani's or for nude looking nails (rather than wearing nothing at all). I was curious how this color would look, so I began: swatch 1...lovely peachy pink shimmer...swatch 2...lovely peachy pink shimmer...swatch 3...swatch 4!!! Normally I would have stopped after 3, which is my max. But after 3 coats, it was still very sheer and it seems the color looked exactly like the first coat. That is why I put this one in the category of 'layer-polish'.

Since autumn is almost around the corner, I picked a brown polish to swatch: Barry M's Chocolate. It is really like you are swatching your nails with melted chocolate.

Then I layered one coat of Mega Watt over Chocolate:

Finding a nice layering effect is like discovering a new polish color, don't you think?

Have a wonderful day!!!

Flowerzzz...

First, let's take a look at the base color. It is from the LUCIDarling collection from Etude House, which is a Korean brand. I acknowledge this brand through the hot CF with Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye, the main leads in the Korean drama: You're Beautiful. LUCIDarling no. 03 is a nice warm peach colour with tiny gold shimmer, which is very hard to capture with my camera. The formula was a bit streaky, but the moment the topcoat was applied, it looked gorgeous =]

For the lucky ones who live in the United States, you can find Etude House products on their US online shop: http://etudehouseusa.com/

Furthermore, I used Barry M's Chocolate to stamp the flower-motive of image plate M73. And this is the final look with Konad Topcoat:
