Got A Winter Secret...

I started with 2 coats of Essence Got A Secret. Got A Secret will be replaced by other pretty colours in the Essence wide collection, so now is the chance to buy the discontinued colours. Got A Secret is a grayish lavender creme and already opaque after 2 coats.
Then I used a hobby sponge to create the blue glitter gradient with Pa Premier Lame Grande AA24. Unfortunately just a code name, but AA24 is a gorgeous sheer blue base packed with tiny blue and silver glitters. At last, there is one layer of topcoat.
The result didn’t really speak to me, so I used Nubar White Polka Dot for an icier winter look. White Polka Dot added more glitters in white, blue and green, but also white hexagons. It was hard to get the hexagons on the nails, if I haven’t had so many layers on my nails already, I would definitely went for 4 coats of this white icy goodness.
Have a wonderful one!

The Paradise Sunset

Summertime!!! Let's sit back and relax at the beach or anywhere else where the sun shines brightly ^^

Since it is summer, I picked a colour which I usually do not wear: orange. I think it doesn't look good with my skin colour, but who cares...it's a nice colour to wear during this period of the year.

At first, I painted the whole nail of my pink, but I didn't like it that much, so I continued my other nails with a gradient...LOL! I used ESTESSiMO TiNS no. 44 The Paradise Sunset (fabulous name!!!). It's a sheer orange with squared glitters that shines the colours: blue, green and orange. The formula was a bit thick as result of the many glitters, but it was easy to work with.

The process of the gradient contains 3 steps: first layer 3/4 of the nail, then 1/2 of the nail and finally just 1/4 of the nail (nail tip). I used Pa nail color A03 to smoothen out the three layers. I love to use Pa A03 as a glitter topcoat for the nice shimmer finish.

Finally I used some 3D nail stickers that I bought from the Born Pretty Store to 'decorate' the whole look.

Happy Summer Holidays!

Have a great one!!!

Alix Avien Blue Crackle

My first Turkish brand nail polish, which I hunted down during my short stay there: Alix Avien!

I did some research before I went on vacation and it was not all about the sightseeing stuff...also a little about what polishes were sold in Turkey. Luckily, I found several drugstores where they sell nail polishes of different Turkish brands.

Alix Avien Nail Deco comes in 4 colours: white, black, blue and pink. This navy blue one got my attention, since I already have a black crackle polish of Barry M. During that time, China Glaze had already announched their Crackle Glaze collection, otherwise, I would have bought Alix Avien crackle polish in white and pink too.

As base colour, I used Pa Nail Color A30, which is a nice champagne goldish polish. Two coats of A30 and one layer of Alix Avien blue crackle polish. The picture was taken on the second day of wear, but I think it still looks okay. It didn't chip that much even without topcoat and survived one day at work.

More 'travel hauls' will follow...

Have a great one!
